Art is a fundamental part of the mountain lifestyle. It represents the environment that spectators and athletes live and play in every day. The Mountain Games combine artistic influences with competition and foster the arts through film, photography, and random expressions of on-site art.

ART AT THE GAMES

We are currently in planning mode and are stoked to share more details on art activations at the Games in the near future.

ART IN VAIL

NO BETTER MUSEUM THAN THE GREAT OUTDOORS

The Art in Public Places (AIPP) program is one of many culturally oriented programs in the Vail Valley.

The intention of the program is to assemble a collection of works of art in public places which is educational, attractive to residents and guests, and of an overall aesthetic quality equal to the excellent international reputation the town enjoys as a resort.

The program is under the direction of a seven-member board which meets monthly to discuss AIPP projects and direction. Members of the public are encouraged to attend the meetings which are held in the Vail Town Council Chambers on the first Monday of every month.
