For all open competitions, amateurs and professionals are all welcome. We even allow dogs to compete in some events (not all of them, that would be a terrible idea). Invitational events are closed from public participation. If you’re questioning your ability to compete consult your doctor, or mom – one of them usually knows best…

The GoPro Mountain Games will generally, upon request at least 2 weeks prior to the event, provide appropriate aids and services leading to effective communication for qualified persons with disabilities so they can participate equally in the Mountain Games programs and activities. Specific needs related to transit and parking should be directed to the Town of Vail.  Please email Peggy Wolfe [pwolfe@vvf.org] for further assistance.

Near, far, wherever you are, we still want to provide our Mountain Games fans a way to watch and engage with us this summer. On-site spectating is free.

The GoPro Mountain Games footprint spans from Golden Peak to Vail Village to Lionshead Village — a walkable distance. Free Town of Vail buses are also an option, but please note that dogs are not allowed on Town of Vail buses during the Mountain Games.

Our Mountains of Music concert series takes place at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Ford Park. Thursday through Saturday night starting when the competitions wrap!
