We’ve all seen the great Mikaela Shiffrin storm down the mountain as the winningest racer of all time in the Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup.

This December, Shiffrin plans on bringing her tempest of talent to the Stifel Birds of Prey Audi FIS Ski World Cup in Beaver Creek in the super G as the nonprofit Vail Valley Foundation (the same organization that hosts the GoPro Mountain Games) welcomes both men’s and women’s alpine racing to Beaver Creek this December.

On Saturday at the GoPro Mountain Games, the heavens opened up in an electrifying display of power and awe … perhaps in honor of the greatest ski racer of all time making an appearance on our CoLab stage?

But weather couldn’t stop hundreds of fans – nor Mikaela – from having an amazing time Saturday, June 8, at the GoPro Mountain Games.

The clouds parted just in time for Shiffrin to take the stage and talk to “Uncle E” and Chris Davenport about her plans to take part in racing this December in Beaver Creek, the first time Shiffrin has been able to race on her home hill since the 2015 Alpine World Ski Championships.

Shiffrin also took part in the Mountain Games Show with other stars and luminaries.

It was a highlight of a weekend full of highlights!

Thank you Mikaela and we’ll see you this December in Beaver Creek!
